Thread: Mounted .img

i have mounted image file need copy memory card booting on external device.

told use command:
code:
cp -rvpp /path/to/mounted/image/. /path/to/mounted/sd/card/partition/1.ext3
because of crappiness of computer's card reader, can't use command. terminal states card full. it's 4 gig card, , 1 gig image. can write , read card when i'm using regular files access. problem is, won't work have friends have gotten fit on 1 gig card. so, wondered, if copied few files @ time (using sudo su in nautilus) able that? links still preserved? (it's live os) file ownership change? thought of unetbootin remembered how likes change bootloader , appriciated.

sudo apt-get install usb-imagewriter
