Thread: my review of ubuntu 64 bit 11.04

i windows user , .net developer 10 years , using ubuntu.

in sense have likes / dislikes in ubuntu im here write things.

likes:
  • booting , shutting down fast. it.

  • a lot of softwares can get.

  • clean , smooth gui


dislikes:
  • jumping 1 window pain in s s. can't find window open , located.


  • bubble notification not usefull, can't click , when using im lagging, mean i'm writing message , still shows bubble. thats disturbing.


  • in software center there no sorting, want see popular software in first place or want sort name.


  • last installed applications should on top of applications window. dont wanna see in name ordered. every time install app have go applications , click installed apps find app installed. (i know can use shortcut window if dont want use keyboard , type lot of letters.)

jumping 1 window pain in ***. can't find window open , located.
i use 6 desktops, whith program in each.
think easyer windows maximize/minimize

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
