how to solve worsening cs6 performance at high temperatures? (laptop)

premiere has tendency lag when cpu temperature gets hot. ways reduce core temperature improve premiere cs6 performance?

 

for reference, running  2011 macbook pro, maxed out 16gb ram, ssd program drive, 750gb optical bay media drive. though often, media comes external via usb or f800.

 

my timeline pretty typical. 1 or 2 tracks of raw mxf dvc pro hd p2 files. music track (from mp3 / mp4). sucks because once plugging along - when i'm "in zone" were, forced compete decreasing performance. when i'm @ productive mentally, cs6 @ least. tips?

to combat heat build laptop, use zalman laptop cooler pad. new ones have 2 large fans, though older tooled aluminum units better.

 

i use little program, speedfan, both monitor temps everywhere, , control fans in laptop. not know if similar exists laptop.

 

as on patio in arizona, have used refreezable packs, , blown regular desk fan across laptop.

 

good luck, , maybe others have ideas you, heat enemy.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
