Mac OS 10.5 display sleep
dear reader,
since yesterday updated flash player on mac os 10.5 latest version encounter strange , annoying problem.
before when browser window flash stream not maximized display sleep option activate @ set time. not case anymore.
i tested following things:
- manual force display sleep:
- flash steam active display wake after few seconds
- flash stream on pause display not wake
- wait timeout
- flash steam active display not go sleep
- flash stream on pause display enter sleep @ desired time
- activate screensaver hot corners
- flash steam active display not go sleep screensaver still active
- flash stream on pause display enter sleep @ desired time
- activate safari tab / window , making active instead of streaming one. didn't help.
- tried firefox alternative browser, same result.
i uninstalled latest version , installed flash 10.1 archive.
this did not solve problem.
this gives me impression somewhere deep in mac os or flash setting changed keeps display active while flash streaming.
i have changed previous situation display sleep when flash window not maximized (displayed in browser window).
did encounter problem before , know setting change fixed?
kind regards,
jos buurman
i'm seeing same behavior in flash player 11.4. should case non-fullscreen streamed video should allow sleep if specified threshold reached. i'll double check on windows , need enter bug it. unfortunately, os x 10.5 not receive bug fixes except flash player 10.3 security/0-day updates. follow internal bug number when entered. thanks...
