Moving site from 'joomla' subdirectory to root - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
hello,
i've been building new website employer using joomla; joomla installed in subdirectory /joomla/ build new site while keeping current hmtl-only site active. ready ditch current site , replace joomla site. ho move on root directory? (meaning: copy files/folders root?)
i'm still using 1.7.3 on particular site , need upgrade 2.5 (i told template using compatible 2.5); don't want upgrade 2.5 , possibly mess things before moving site root.
i have akeeba backup installed , took up.
any advice appreciated.
thanks!

you can move /joomla/ subfolder root.
i'd download first , delete files on server.
then upload contents of /joomla.
you have adjust 2 lines in 'configuration.php'. namely log_path , tmp_path. include '/joomla', should remove (/joomla).
