No notice to update 2.5.7 - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

"ok" have 2 joomla 2.5.7 websites on same server. both update managers set @ "long term support". both have cache set @ 6 (default).

yesterday, 1 site alerted me in backend update 2.5.8 , updated site. other site not alerting me @ all. cleared cache, changed settings short term, nothing! still not notify me upgrade.

when first log backend control panel update joomla icon seem check on need update , changes joomla cms up-to-date icon. appears software going out check on current version.

the apache error log says:

php warning: substr() excepts parameter 1 string, array given in ....../helper.php on line 61 .......... http://........?option=cominstaller$view=update

obviously, problem mean? since both site on same server, 99% sure not php setting since use same php.ini file. i'm thinking perhaps conflict java libraries loaded on site? perhaps jquery? ajax?


before manually upgrade site, have ideas why site different other?

i cannot suggest solution you, have same situation site running on joomla 2.5.6. cannot find out why not prompt update 2.5.7 or 2.5.8.
like you, appreciate suggestions.
