PSE10 Crashes when searching for duplicate photos

hello,

 

i upgraded pse10 , imported catalog different machine (which had been running xp).  unfortunately, ended bunch of duplicate entries in catalog, 1 path c:\users\... other c:\my documents\...  these paths both point same image on hard drive.

 

when try search duplicate photos (from find>by visual searches), pse invariably crashes.  running pse10 under windows 7 (full system info @ end of message).

 

any idea why might happening, , there different way can remove duplicate entries in catalog?

try using folder location view (click display button near top right in organizer switch thumbnail view) , expand folder tree in left hand pane.
