RH10 - Printed Documentation Issues.

hi!

 

i'm new rh10. i've started new technical authoring role having taken 6 years out of role... in previous roles i've walked company , styles , templeate set , got on authoring part of role. however, time i'm starting scratch, requiring help.

 

i've used robohelp in past , decided software go along with. however, it's quite bit different how remember it!

 

currently using trial of robohelp 10. have created test project , managed generate microsoft html file. i'm trying generate printed document. issues i'm having are:

 

  • firstly seem have line of text set conditional build tag of online showing in printed document. there other onliine bits not showing, particular line cannot seem remove printed document. suggestions on how deal this? have removed conditional tag , re added it.
  • the company's brand use tahoma font. however, i'm finding when print document comes out in grey, though i've set font colour automatic. i've tried swap being black, still seem grey print. down font type i'm using or there issue generation?
  • i've set heading 1 style centred title page , still prints out left alligned. missing style?
  • finally, each of topics coming out printed on new page, though have not selected 'start each topic on new page' check box when setting generation options. can point me in right direction adjust please.

i'm sure mose of these user error , down rusty authoring. hoping on these me move forward , loosen rustyness!!!

  1. online conditional build tag: may want check conditional build tag expression being used in printed documentation single source layout? controls content included. aware content in topic (or topic itself) can have more 1 tag assigned it. think case of going topics have online tag , doing investigation. can identify topics cbt right clicking on tag in conditional build tag pod , selecting properties.
  2. this down word styles using in template , how mapped rh styles. check out following link excellent tutorial on producing printed documentation. http://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/printing/printing.htm

  4. again style related. sounds have word style mapped pagination option selected. see point 2.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
