i see many modifications, page changes , new pages concerning security joomla. none of these have been made moderators of security forums , doubtful accuracy.
an example:

mandville , phild have worked hard on security pages make sure wiki docs consistent advice given in forum. change edit permissions comment of 'removed protection "security checklist/you have been hacked or defaced": hmm, don't know why protected' ... shows person making edit has no idea of necessity keep pages accurate.
this brings validity of persons edits question , may have significant ramifications in joomla security forums. users pointing incorrect information in (the wiki) contradict mandville , phild advice.

i understand you're coming wiki pages meant edited , idea of restricting pages groups counter philosophy , isn't supported wiki software.
it's fine or group take on responsibility of maintaining page or groups of pages, should never considered exclusive privilege. wikis work best when can incrementally improve content. pages wants curate should added watch list notified when changes made , can respond appropriately. discussion edit or proposed edit should take place on talk/discussion page page concerned (and incidentally not on users talk page i've seen happen recently).
