i'm hoping kind people of ubuntu community suggest parts, or @ least, point me in right direction.
you might check out 'building energy efficient box' link in signature ideas , general reading (not energy efficiency).
is: get quality power supply!!! heart of beast , generic silver box won't cut it. don't waste time putting computing pride , joy watch sizzles , crackles (and takes out of hardware) because scrimped on psu. (by quality psu don't mean spending hundreds of $s - don't need to).
85+% energy efficiency (as opposed -70% on generic silver box psus) becoming standard. go there. luck. make plan. need have clearer idea of going machine , dictate hardware get. hardware dictate size power supply going need. don't go overkill!!! planet , save money: if surfing net , checking emails don't need 700watt psu. (my desktop uses 500watt, 85+% antec earthwatts , used a/v production.)
if have old parts sitting around, have look. if can practice seating processor in old motherboard help. familiar new hardware before start putting together. see how fits , in order. know how going go it.
if put in work pre-build should easy-peasy ...![]()
