Thread: Cannot Install Grub: Fatal Error

hello all,

replaced motherboard on server , decided time clean install. installation of server errored out on grub installation telling me that....

code:
cannot install grub on /dev/sda: fatal error during installation
or along lines. hard drive has had full working installation of ubuntu server before , thing different mobo.

loaded live version of kubuntu , chrooted drive , installed grub using apt-get. seemed install grub despite giving bunch of permission denied error (which assume related chrooting).

next ran grub console , tried

find /boot/grub/stage1
which said not find anything. figured ok because guess next part

root (hd?,?)
but every combination of numbers tried did not seem work. in addition not find menu.lst file can guess because 11.04 uses version of grub no longer uses menu.lst. in frustration tried installing kubuntu since had live cd loaded , give exact same error.

know (a) how stop error during installation (b) how more information why getting error during installation or (c) manually install version of grub 11.04 uses live cd.

do have setting in bios locks mbr, few have security.

grub legacy last used default 9.04. grub2 not have menu.lst nor stage1.

can post see entire install, if bios issue not show it.

v60 has improved formating , requires code tags make legible. new version zip file have extract .sh run.

PProHeadless.exe has stopped working error when opening projects in Adobe Media Encoder CS6

hi, upgraded adobe cloud cs6 , having problems adobe media encoder cs 6 (version 6.0.1.31 64-bit).   when try add adobe premiere projects in ame, gives me following error:   pproheadless.exe has stopped working   i tried rebooting, , still gives me same error.  project load, won't.   the premiere projects contain h.264 .mov file coming canon t2i.  added overlay logo bottom right of video created in adobe after effects, contains text, no effects, no motion, etc.  have .wav file recorded zoom h4n, not always.  edit in adobe audition remove noise feature.   i running on windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.  i'm using i7 16gb ram , ati 6870 video card.   i have lut buddy plugin installed.   it give me error first time try load project, , connection dynamic link server fail.  afterwards, if try load project again, if restart ame, stays stuck in connecting dynamic link server...   any provide appreciated. what happens when drag , a...
