Thread: make an extra logical partition?
hi
possible? have 4 partitions already, /dev/sda4 logical:
/dev/sda1:
/dev/sda2:
/dev/sda3:
/dev/sda4 ==>/dev/sda5: swap
==>/dev/sda6: empty
possible turn sda2 logical one? filesystem type choose on gparted? whole problem comes sda4 being small want , sda3 being windows, don't want move in case it's wrecked
no, layout have posted, sda4 extended partition. extended partition acts container logical partitions. logical partitions numbered 5 , upwards, sda5 , sda6 logicals inside sda4 extended partition. way of using space occupied sda2 logical partition if adjacent extended partition. able delete sda2 , enlarge extended partition freed space , make new logical. however, sounds though sda3 in way.
post screenshot of gparted window can see going on. - version of windows have?
