Thread: Want to Boot Multiple Distros With GRUB

hello all!

in adventurous phase , want try other distros while still having reliable, stable ubuntu installation fall on. i'm in process of partitioning disks, , realized might have trouble booting them, installed control grub , clobber previous grub setup. want know how go managing 1 distro, preferably ubuntu, has control of grub menu @ boot up, , still recognize other distros on other partitions.

plan have 3 15gb root partitions, 1 swap, , 1 home partition each distro.

create /boot each distro? or create 1 /boot files each distro copied there? or should else entirely?
don't want distros interfere each other. also, don't want use vms this, because want see real full-performance install each distro.

appreciated!

why not install virtualbox under stable ubuntu, , inside vb install number of virtual machines whatever need on each? no messing grub , no risk main setup. , can use them concurrently well. , it's free.
