Thread: Would love to know why this error is occuring!

i removed zlib 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-15ubuntu1 , installed zlib 1.2.5.

when try start gdm (and appears uses python), get:

/usr/bin/python: error while loading shared libraries: /lib/libz.so.1: file short
why occurring?

occurring because canonical modified python in ubuntu, , ubuntu python expects see canonicals modified version of zlib (1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-15ubuntu1), , doesn't recognize official version, why error occurring?

because python built against zlib-1.2.3 not 1.2.5.

did expect?

cannot upgrade packages no regard consequences.

planning on rebuilding on system depends on zlib?

why, exactly, did decide required zlib-1.2.5?
