Using the Crop tool to remove un-used pixels or artboard

i have clipped image i've placed drop shadow on (using layer styles) on transparent background.  want use crop tool remove un-used pixels or artboard. 

 

i tried activate "show layer edges", not account layer style/drop shadow i've placed , goes away when start use crop tool itself.  doesn't work.

 

is there way this?  other eyeballing it?  want image cropped tightly possible, not want tight tight , cut of drop shadow.  advice?  thank you!!

try image - trim function.  believe need.
