Acrobat 9 Pro update download problems

note: hooked samsung 830 128gb ssd old dell optiplex gx280. os win xp pro. i've had issues running windows , microsoft update manually , had resort using auto-updates (which reason works without problem).

 

i unable updates acrobat both "check updates" in acrobat pro , site. pro's update option trying download updater. site, it's downloading update download section acrobat.

 

in both cases, download stalls @ around 80-99.9% complete. had no issues installing acrobat 9 pro. noticed before stalling, download rate drastically drops before locking itself. might have been downloading @ 900kb, when hits around 80% mark it'll drop around 300kb , drop further. locks @ 100-200kb/sec. mind you, download window or browser not frozen. can still interact them without issues (i can download other things, browse pages, , cancel locked download). in-program updater might stall after click cancel, functions showing window options take in canceling.

 

the 1 stands out fact can't download updates manually. i've tried firefox , chrome, , both result in same problem. i've tried several update files. oddly enough, it's update files have problem. i've downloaded other files adobe flash , reader x installer (which downloaded , installed fine). downloads i've done other sites, malwarebytes, downloaded , updated fine.

 

is there can fix this? i'm assuming has tie-in windows/microsoft update problem. in advance.

just in case, manual updates available @ http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=windows. there server issues , have try again later, have had no problems downloading updates.
