Acrobat X font question

i've created simple fill-in form. somehow, ended 2 versions. 1 uses arial , arial bold font, other helvetica , helvetica bold font. given same input, fill in arial/arial bold larger - 1 page 500 meg versus 150 meg helvetica. don't care font used, time realized issue there hundreds filled in.

i stumbled across issue when tried "optimize" forms, , did "audit space usage". arial/arial bold pdf has font 72% of file size, while helvetica/helvetica bold has font using 1 1/2% of file size.

i either convert completed forms helvetica/helvetica bold or somehow reduce font size (if possible). or input appreciated.

when select font form field not 1 of base-14 (helvetica, times, courier, etc.) guaranteed available (or suitable replacement) reader/acrobat, entire font has embedded, naturally increases size of file. since version of arial used in place of helvetica when helvetica specified, there little (no?) reason specify arial form field. problem if set font fields helvetica, acrobat doesn't clean things might expect should.

 

1 approach extract form data forms use arial , import blank form uses helvetica, , save. automated in acrobat scripting.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
