CS6 & "Live Capture" from Sony HVR-Z1U

something of rookie question.  i've seen similar questions no answers. 

 

we're considering upgrading old premiere pro (cs3) cs6.  along way, we'd capture video directly computer instead of recording tape , capturing camera later.  our camera a  sony hvr-z1u.  we've never had luck doing real-time capture camera in premiere pro , never onlocation work.

 

i've read onlocation has been discontinued.  can cs6 capture directly off camera?  options?  i'm not interested in getting new, tapeless camera.

if want use onlocation, you'll need use cs5.5 or below.  it's not included in cs6.  had great deal of success ol , z1 via firewire.  difficulties have encountered?

 

neither premiere pro nor prelude are  capture applications.

 

i've been investigating same thing, , way go seems to use either blackmagic intensity box or matrox mx2 mini (at entry level end of market).  blackmagic seems picky which  pc chipset likes!

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
