i have dillemma theese 2 laptops

msi cr620-616xeu
cpu: intel i3-370m 2.4ghz (2 cores)
intel hm55 chipset
ram: 4gb ddr3
gpu: intel 5700mhd
hdd: 320gb 5400rpm
wifi: atheros wireless lan (802.11 b/g/n)

acer aspire 5552-n933g50mnkk (long name, know)
cpu: amd phenom ii quad-core n930 2ghz(4 cores)
amd® rs880m chipset
ram: 3gb ddr3
gpu: ati radeon hd 4250
hdd: 500gb 5400rpm
wifi: acer® invilink nplify wireless lan (802.11b/g/draft-n)

prices ar similar ~400euros
1 better?
better have i3 2 cores , 4gb ram, or phenom quad core 3gb ram?
i've heard lot of complaints natty , ati gpus, should take intel or ati?
ubuntu , wifi work on theese laptops?

based on configuration given above, go phenom one. intel core i3 370 not sandy-bridge processor. ati better intel hd graphcs.

can't whether wifi work ubuntu? if laptop marketed before ubuntu 11.04, there fair amount of chances work. can't sure.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
