Apache won't start XAMPP - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hey everyone,

i bought joomla template , downloaded joomla 2.5.8 package , wanted see how works, downloaded xampp hoping first configure entire website offline.

long story short: created map called joomla in xampp/htdocs, start xampp control panel can't apache work: error: apache shutdown unexpectedly.

code: select all

13:38:57  [apache]    this may due blocked port, missing dependencies,

13:38:57  [apache]    check "/xampp/apache/logs/error.log" file
13:38:57  [apache]    and windows event viewer more clues


i have unchecked port 88 in skype , closed skype entirely... can problem here?

ps: i'm using windows 7 , mysql seems work fine, user account control settings uac set 'never notify'.

why , how have "created map" install xampp following instructions particularly on windows.

that said seem experiencing same shared issue many other users of latest 1.8.1 versions of xampp experiencing , there appears issue - believe - control panel of xampp in release.

i suggest either uninstalling 1.8.1 , obtaining 1.8.0 , using instead or take whole issue apache friends on forums , join many others have posted many different examples of issues arising latest release.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
