Audio Cuts Out on Rendered Video File

i hope here can me. have spen lot of time searches on google , forum answer. appears audio cutting out in pemiere pro , elements had been common problem years no common solution.

i running premiere elements 10 on xp desktop. have tried adjusting audio hardware settings , using premiere pro wdm sound, instead of asio.

i editing professionally-produced video work. clips mpegs , work fine in premiere storyline. have done basic cuts clips , audio. audio plays no problem, , did not unlink audio video clip when editing.

my initial project settings ntsc-dv standard 48khz. output file mpeg. when play rendered video in windows media player, starts out fine audio. sound cuts out after couple of seconds - regardless of had cut clip. video continues play fine, titles , transitions - no audio.

i tried exporting video windows media file, 1 person suggested in forum. did not work - same issue of audio cutting out after couple of seconds.

i checked audio codec in program called g-spot, , shows codec installed in original clips editing. difference clips editing mpeg-1 , premiere elements exports video in mpeg-2. i'm not technically skilled codecs , audio stuff able troubleshoot further.

i hope here can me figure out.

if editing standard definition mpeg, should not editing in project set dv. should editing in project set hard disk camcorder standard definition. if use dv project setting, end interlacing issues when output project cause jiggle when played.

that said, did mpeg come from? i'm concerned original video mpeg1, antiquated video format produces lower quality, lower resolution video.

if open mpeg in program g spot or media info, tell video's audio? (also, tell video's resolution?)

also, you've pretty old computer if you're running xp. go windows update , select custom option. select non-critical updates. give important update audio drivers.

outdated audio drivers can cause sorts of buggy audio behavior.
