I can't install the update 9.5.2 for Acrobat Pro for Mac.

i using mac os 10.7.4.  have acrobat pro 9.5.1 on system.  i've been able download 9.5.2 upgrade via "'check updates" link in application , adobe website.

the installer cannot install update.  process begins message components have been disabled.  message refers me acrobat website reingage components. unfortunately, not able find such through not user friendly website.

the alternative suggestion message uninstall application, reinstall it.  tried using uninstaller in acrobat pro folder, when opened uninstaller, got message saying installer not application.

i have installation disk reinstall program , have no problem manually uninstalling acrobat pro system, don't know needs removed where.

anyone have suggestions on try next?

i'm beginning feel upgrade gimmick encourage people upgrade acrobat pro x.

similar problem on 10.8.

i "the application selected not valid acrobat application uninstaller.  please rerun uninstaller." error when trying uninstall using uninstaller in acrobat pro 9 folder. automatically goes x version. have cs6 installed well. how tedious adobe's updaters/uninstallers. ever heard of complying os hock wares on? sheesh. getting tiresome.

edit: , yes, did follow directions enable root user in kb here http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-update-errors-acrobat-reader.html
