Thread: How to set terminal default path to pwd

open new terminal either in tab or new windows,
default work directory $home
know how change `pwd`, every time new terminal starts form same path mother terminal (the terminal user calls new from).

thanks,

well each time start new terminal create new shell, rather sub-shell of 1 started first.

perhaps best way type

code:
gnome-terminal . &
in "mother terminal", leaving option of starting more terminals her, new terminals or grandchild terminals child of mother.

.....if see mean.....

***edit actually, that's load of nonsense. question. i'd know answer too........ mean works, still acts new shell.
