Thread: MythTV VS. Natty

hello all,

new linux. started 11.04 natty. heard things mythtv decided try out. installed no issues.. when trying watch live tv , playback recorded media, have absolutely no sound.

after quite bit of research, i've received mixed information. first hear default kernel (2.6.38) doesn't support v4l upgraded 2.6.39 , still have same issue.

i've heard need compile mythtv v4l support i'm clueless on after google'ing hours.

i'm kinda hoping give me straight forward answer on how mythtv running on machine because it's kind of deal breaker me natty. didn't want install meerkat or mythbuntu if have to.

the newer kernel have v4l2 & believe v4l(1) well.

can force v4l(1) compatibility mode if required applications.

why need specific v4l version mythtv ?

audio problem have nothing v4l-dvb module unless using analogue recording card external set top box.

first thing new install/upgrade of mythtv, after running backend settings, rescan audio devices in frontend.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
