Thread: Need help installing ubuntu on netbook

hi guys, have decided roll ubuntu 11.04 (over linux mint) on hp netbook. ive been having trouble following guide on website itself, maybe im slow. want run windows, or in other words, dual boot windows 7.

downloaded wubi. think supposed download if wanted dual boot. anyways, launched program , gives me error:
"cannot download metalink , therefore iso"


go ahead , download "ubuntu i386.iso" , launch wubi again while iso downloading. didnt give me error time. wubi downloading something, threat pop called"pyrun exe". safe? canceled , thought id ask here make sure if doing right. downloading iso.

not have dvd drive. im surprised direction didnt ask me on usb drive. or maybe missed it.

official ubuntu site?

need 32bit version also.

download live disc first , try out, then...

recommend burn iso disk , install from
disk. tell if have problems installing
ubuntu on netbook.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
