Thread: Oh no what did I do??? How to I get the GUI back?


hello ubuntu forums! i'm such noob: on log in screen. wanted see if ubuntu give me list of other "sessions" try, (such kde or gnome) or whatever. i'm new linux , ubuntu. thought try gnome clicking on "user defined" on little area @ bottom of login screen have choice of like, "ubuntu classic," etc. here's problem... after choosing "user defined" when start ubuntu wallpaper , nothing else visible!!! how gui back? can launch terminal window pressing ctrl+alt, t, have no idea how regular ubuntu gui back. can me? thanks!

gnome-session-save --force-logout
that should log in screen make changes
