Thread: reset/restore ubuntu layout ?

hello. i've got ubuntu 10.04 lts.

i've heard friend can 'reset' ubuntiu layout standard/default

googled & found 1 answer - tried & both main menu & panels dissapeared

(they reappeared when re-booted)...

want standard/default layout when ubuntu c first installed (but of course, keepng programmes ive added)

if go in file manager, can press ctrl+h, show hidden files , folders.

hidden files contain settings. if delete hidden directories, have default settings programs. if want keep settings (e.g. firefox profile), don't delete directory program.
