so... (total noob ubuntu/linux)

want set vpn , proxy (i think) server can connect ipad work or hotspots , have security.

side note way can connect ipad @ work through vpn since dudes don't equipment don't own accessing network. use vpn can't accused of sniffing proprietary information visiting suppliers. (i work @ big multi-national manufacturing corporation...)

yes, there paid services, that's not point of having linux box running @ home it?

anyway, topology imagine need is:

[wireless ipad out on internet]=>=[vpn]=>=[home firewall]=>=[proxy server]=>=[back out internet]

ipad can connect through vpn pptp, l2tp or ipsec protocols.

can connect xp home machine pptp no issues, won't (for reason) let me out internet. it's wife's primary machine don't want mess much. has annoying habit of putting standby mode when she's not using it.

links files , basic pointers cool. i'm totally ignorant of basic home networking , need pointed right language , terminology use.



far have samba running , connected nas raid dlink box , have internet access sockso music player (though doesn't work on ipad... cool pointless far.) i'll home distributed music server set up, that's later.

or there better way? (my real consideration free... or so.) vpn > bridge > internet?

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
