Thread: x86, ATI Diamond Stealth, & Best Configuration for Natty

i have compaq presario sr1200nx x86 based system ati diamond stealth agp 8x graphics card. have 2 gb's of ram , 320gb hard drive. output lspci is:

01:00.0 vga compatible controller: ati technologies inc rv350 [radeon 9550]
01:00.1 display controller: ati technologies inc rv350 [radeon 9550] (secondary)

have xserver-xorg-video series ati card. however, i'm not sure efficient use of graphics card. i'd know if there out there recommend better graphics setup, link directions on how migrate xserver-xorg-video setup better one, and...do need ati catalyst and/or driver card? if so, i've tried tracking down cannot find it. think card can perform better on viewsonic va1930wm monitor (19" flatpanel) @ 1440 x 900, i'm not certain. seems have done better in winxp , extent win7 before changed on ubuntu.

i'd happy supply more information on configuration if in pointing me in right direction.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
