Upgrade Issue via .msi from 10.1.3 to 10.1.4

hi,

i running test environment in preparation deploy in our domain. have run issue unable upgrade 10.1.3 10.1.4 via .msi. previous installs via method have worked no issues. have conducted tests installing 10.1.2 , upgrading 10.1.3 via .msi , no issues have occurred. however, trying upgrade 10.1.4 not work.

 

this has been done extracting 10.1.4 contents, emulating network install , applying 10.1.4 update network install .msi.

note: mentioned earlier method used in past extract , deploy acrobat reader , have had no issues.

 

when attempting install we receive following error:

 

“another version of product installed. installation of version cannot continue. configure or remove existing version of product use add/remove programs on control panel.”

 

 

pc , software details are:

 

windows xp sp3

adobe reader x:

- version 10.1.3

- version 10.1.3.23

- agm version 4.21.19

- cooltype version 5.8.113

- core version 10.259

- jp2k version 2.0.0.14587

- adm version 10.01x23

 

eventually need deploy .msi package seems strange unable install on top have in past.

does system meet tech specs?

keep in mind part microsoft's kb update listed on adobe page.  if pass system requirements hope more expertise able chime in won't able suggest other possibilities fixing issue.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
