WDM Capture Video Corruption

hi all,

i evaluating trial version of premiere elements 10. running on windowsxp 32bit, intel core i7 980x, 4gb ram, nvidia 580gtx.  (this machine windows xp due requirement of nikon film scanners)

i able create new project using "pal - hard disk, flash memory camcorder - standard 48khz" preset.

project settings.jpg

i select "get media" project panel, , select "webcam or wdm device"

the "capture" window displayed. wdm device, avermedia hd pro pcie analog capture device selected, capture window displays preview of analog input (from pal vcr via tbc , s-video input avermedia capture device).

the preview display rendered correctly, audio available , looks ok. press "capture".

after recording project panel displays first frame of captured video, recording severly distorted! have tried various pal presets project captures analog card same. display correctly in capture dialog window badly distorted in recorded avi file. interestingly audio track plays correctly behind mess.

this should plain blue screen line of white text!

if @ avi file gspot looks ok. pal, interlaced, bottom field first. codec listed dvsd - dvc/dv video.

does recognise might going on here?  use premiere elements captures if possible.

many thanks,

trevor

my first guess that, since you're using trial version of program, don't have necessary component work type of video.

once product purchased , registered, program automatically download , install necessary components work.

unfortunately, don't know way test theory without buying program.

your g-spot report though seems contradict that. although project should not use project settings you're using type of video anyway. should using dv project settings.

so first try starting project using dv project settings , see if same results.
