first of if isn't right forum move topic correct.
so, work in hosting company , every day see lot of hacked accounts , inserted base64_decode( in it, ometimes when lattest version of everythng , not instaleld lot of templates , plugins. big problem, because these shell scripts there lot of spam , ip addresses ae in blacklist after , customers can't send emails. it's awful everyday clear user's accounts , loss our time in this.
can tell me feel same thing , there number of things can stop these (also post joomla developers), because thinks it's security holes in application. thank in advance , best regards bulgaria!

i work hosting company, , while see many users compromised sites, it's issue user not keeping script and/or extensions date.
of course, configuring shared servers mod_security su_php (or equivalent) can reduce damage compromised site can other users on server... many other steps host can take provide secure environment.
