500 Error Cannot Connect to Database After Moving Joomla - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hey guys,

i couldn't find appropriate place put apologies if it's in wrong place.

i've searched , searched answer haven't found anything.

our website runs joomla 1.0 , did overhaul , installed 1.6 sub directory , have duplicated on previous site new install prepare moving live section of site.

when went this, move data public_html , worked fine. site loaded. , saw typo logged backend fix , hit save, got "database error: unable connect database: not connect mysql."

naturally assumed password in configuration.php wrong or database settings incorrect. verified , reset password database user , changed , still nothing.

because our live site, couldn't leave down long had revert back. of course, new site works fine in it's original directory , main site having no issues.

i decided have been fluke tried again. worked fine hour , half , made change on backend, same database error cannot connect mysql.

i have verified permissions , beyond that, can't see issue is.

any ideas welcomed @ point!

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
