Back end coming up error 500 or blank page - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i needed upgrade sites 1.7 2.5.8 server kept timing out. made akeeba backup of site, restored wamp on computer. upgrades worked beautifully. made akeeba backup of upgraded site , restored onto server... worked great front end , end came login page... page came error says:

http error 500 (internal server error): unexpected condition encountered while server attempting fulfill request.

i not sure do. tried making changes in php (making sure cache , cookies public $cookie_domain = '';
public $cookie_path = ''; )

i tried replacing entire folder called com_login fresh 2.5 zip file.

could database challenge? do if so?

i thought maybe wamp new, using 64bit apache 2.2.2 mysql 5.5.24, php 5.3.13, phpmyadmin 3.5.1

my server running apache 2.2.2 mysql 5.0.91, php 5.3.8, phpmyadmin 3.3.8.1

so, uninstalled version of wamp , went older version, same thing happened.
uninstalled , tried older version of xampp gave same results well.

i think need go beginning , start again, suggestions on version of wamp work accomplish upgrades?

now tried dropping files in server's database before restoring server, results same.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
