Joomla Session, why not in 'Memory' instead of 'MyISAM'? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
i cleaning in database after having tested out few components, sadly doesn't clean out databases.
i noticed joomla session table myisam table, why not memory table?
i think speed quite bit...
session data being volatile, , transient, complies mysql guidelines?

you can switch session handler in joomla, , alter table via mysql or phpmyadmin if want better performance.
i remember having issues surrounding maybe messed can't remember.
components , etc. don't clean after upgrade purposes or re-installation believe. annoying, , should provide option real cleanup. oh well...i haven't seen joomla site big enough make tables kill query....and if happens have waaaay many extensions running around.
