Thread: Running Firefox off of /media


my gf's laptop hasn't been booting up, have thread that. running linux mint 10 64bit. if attach hdd desktop, or use live cd (thumb drive), can access hdd mounted device. folders work fine, i've backed of important info if need reformat.

1 thing need bookmarks , passwords firefox. had idea of running firefox mounted disk, can't seem ff load settings , information install on hdd.

can tell me folder need go to either information or ff load pertainant info? i've been trying:

code:
/media/hdd/usr/lib/firefox-3*/firefox
and

code:
/media/hdd/usr/lib64/firefox-3*/firefox
ideas?

the data need in old home direcroty, in .mozilla/firefox, under profile name.
