hi guys im kinda new ubuntu linux. been using windows since 1998. lately been having virus spyware or corruption windows. computer doing things shouldnt such "computer not respondinbg" tried using spyware killers no luck. tried install legit xp got school think hard drive new xp meaning vista running. baiscally need using anti virus free apps ubuntu linux provides. wanting know ubuntu equivalents there "spyware doctor, registry mechanic, tom tom gps home map updates tools, brother laser printer driver lexmark scanner drivers, true crypt or other encription software , other common windows apps. far have not got virus, or computer not responding bs windows. guys.

antivirus = clamav (it debatable if need av in linux
there no registry in linux , hence no cleaners
spyware not major issue in linux either.
tom tom dont know, maybe use wine or virtual machine, else might know more this.
truecrypt in repos think, if not can .deb (like windows .exe kinda)
printers supported
apps have equivalents ( better versions available

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
