"Scale to Frame Size" option - won't I lose quality?

hello,

i have sequence in 720p , have of videos in 1080p. want scale of them once, select them all, go clip->video options->scale frame size. but, scale size shows time 100%, after clips scaled down.

question 1: won't lose quality if zoom in (but go not further 1080p)?

question 2: also, understand, cannot go further 150%, right?

thank you.

in edit > prefs > general, can check box "default scale frame size" , don't have manually, note works upon import, not affect clips imported. scaling happening "behind scenes", in adobe motion, continue show 100% size. if wish custom cropping of clip (zoom/pan), right-click clip on timeline , uncheck scale frame. blow clip original dimensions, can use motion > scale customize cropping, using keyframes if choose animate motion.

question 2: 150% figure sounds correct since 1280 x 1.5 = 1920.
