Can't select objects or edit text on newly inserted page

i'm new indesign , have beginner-level experience other adobe products (illustrator , photoshop). using this annual report template create document. can load file in cs6 , edit existing text no issues. however, when add additional pages going layout -> pages -> insert pages, of text , objects on newly inserted page locked , can't edit anything. "unlock on spread" option under "objects" grayed out, changed general preferences allow selection of locked objects, checked make sure none of layers locked, , don't see unlock icon anywhere when hover on upper left of individual text box (all solutions found in other threads when googled this).

 

not sure if maybe limitation of working template (in general or one), don't let add new pages , have work existing ones? pointers (in amateur-speak) appreciated.

update - figured out how view master pages themselves, hoping maybe source of issue , propogating new pages - , on locked - "unlock on spread" still grayed out, none of layers locked i'm still @ loss.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
