Convert Photo to CMYK
at moment, haven't space available re-add photoshop system, seeking take black , while photo in id layout , ensure it's in cmyk without ink values exceeding 240% total area coverage, acrobat preflight has reported image.
can id (cs3) correct this?
the photo colour scan of b&w image. i've tried coverting image, tif file, in picassa b&w. however, acrobat, still shows image rgb values closer 300% total area coverage. how handle this, without installing photoshop?
thank you
no, id cannot make corrections this. i've never used picassa. allow adjust curves or levels? assigning profile?
if converted b&w, mean showing black channel in original, or have multiple channels? if there black in original image, means there conversion during export (not surprising since have no idea waht correct profiles lightning source are).
i think rob expained before bitmap , grayscale images in id placed on black plate of file, , presumed in working cmyk color space. if output rgb space three-color black, converted again four-color black in printer. if export cmyk space black converted if destination different working space , didn't select convert destination (preserve numbers). cmyk file converted rgb, cmyk, internally in non-postscript printer, seems less happening @ commercial output service.
why not scan grayscale, or trying richer tonal range?
