How do I upload to a specific folder? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
i experienced web designer, new joomla. have done online tutorials , understand how create articles, links, add pictures, etc. client has template has slideshow on homepage. want me swap out images new ones.
looking @ template settings via template manager (and looking @ site via firebug) see folder pulling slideshow images from. it's in root directory think. not in media manager. it's folder in folder called template. template we're using called "a4joomla - lakeside."
i have no idea how upload file except media manager. can't find folder need on list. not in modules or extensions or articles or anything. when search online "how upload specific folder in joomla?" ads extensions. when in extensions, don't see looks me upload these 4 images 1 specific folder. , delete existing ones.
i've worked wordpress before, of experience isn't cms site can access , every folder of site via ftp or something. lost. can me on track?

according demo of template images located in:
/templates/a4joomla-lakeside/images/sampledata/image.jpg
so tell client need ftp access change images
you try following file management extension go ftp (there's no sense in installing extension if it's not needed).
