.htaccess in image folder - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support


hi there,
i have website appears have been hacked, flagged google having redirect malware.

i have read in documentation http://docs.joomla.org/security_checklist_7that image folder have .htaccess added saying
# secure directory disabling script execution
addhandler cgi-script .php .pl .py .jsp .asp .htm .shtml .sh .cgi
options -execcgi


i have checked .htaccess file in images/stories folder , contains
removehandler .phtml .php .php3 .php4 .php5 .php6 .phps .cgi .exe .pl .asp .aspx .shtml .shtm .fcgi .fpl .jsp .htm .html .wml
addtype application/x-httpd-php-source .phtml .php .php3 .php4 .php5 .php6 .phps .cgi .exe .pl .asp .aspx .shtml .shtm .fcgi .fpl .jsp .htm .html .wml


does 1 mean these functions have been allowed , replace first coding?

i delete .htaccess stories folder. don't need there unless have placed there specific purpose.

i compress/zip , download local machine antivirus real-time protection running , isolate/delete files picks up.

i reupload, extract , apply patch 2.5.x-2.5.8 clean up/replace core joomla files.

i purchase rs firewall
