Is there a way to do "precision dragging" a la FCP?

in fcp, when drag clip or edge on timeline, can press command key enter mode moves frame frame. useful when timeline dense , default drag can move many frames @ time.

 

is there equivalent in premiere pro? other way zoom out timeline first, drag, , zoom in resume work. that's trouble. , yes there keyboard shortcuts move clip or edge frame frame, if want move clip 2 seconds (60 frames), that's loooooot of keystrokes , need keep count. dragging easier.

to move left 2 seconds simple -2:00 on keyboard.  move right 2 seconds type 2:00.  

 

how many fewer strokes like?

 

you can move left or right many hours/minutes/seconds/frames typing number.

 

if know how many frames in second, can type frames , pp work out..... if you're on 25p timeline typing -50 move 2 seconds also.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
