Scripting the lenght of a page (for smooth scrolling in DPS)

hi, folks

i quite layman in scripting world have question need answered. it's not question of 'how' 1 of 'is possible scripting'?

we want set system pages automatically created xml input short set of templates end indesign documents in given folder.

we have clear idea on how that. now, have take design decission: should try using "one-page articles" pages of variable lengt depending on size of body text frame? (so make afterwards smooth scrolling in adobe dps)?

what refrains me doing body text variable in size , lenght. so... cannot predetermine length must have main frame in pages and, consequently, cannot predetermine lenght of pages (expressed top margin + body frame length + bottom margin).

the question scripting: possible may run script this?

- text input main body text frame via xml import.

- frame resized fits content (no more, no less).

- page resized (expressed top margin + body frame length + bottom margin) keeps designed proportions.

i hope want clear enough, because doubt stopping me trying 1 long page winding way. idea, please?

thanks lot

hi gustavo,

yes can accomplish describing indesign scripting.

instead of creating smooth scrolling page create frame scrollable

content on template fill scrollable content text.

that way not have empty spots on page.

that sounds exiting project combines indesign, dps , scripting skills.
