Thread: changing GRUB settings.


i'm sure know backtrack.. i'll use example...

boots in cli mode... , asks login... root... toor.. enter..

cli until type startx. starts xfce.. or in bt5 came out.. starts kde or gnome.. ever chose @ download time.

anyway, starting in cli idea. asked friend how it..

said change

grub_cmdline_linux_default="quiet splash"
to
grub_cmdline_linux_default="text"

did that.. boots in black... nothing happens...

booted in single mode , fixed it. :c

so, wondering how boot that...

it'd nice have cli greet you.. work.. if rally need gui type "startx"
