Thread: Installation on different HDD

hi there

playing around installations of ubuntu server 10.04. i'd know option(how to) install software on different hdd.

i've got 2 hdd's, 1 20gb (sda) other 100gb (sdb).

#sudo apt-get install (software) -/media/sdb/(software)??

the software installs same directories, can mount hdd directory want.

take example program installs /usr/share/. can set hdd /usr on sda, /usr/share on sdb.

can follow tutorial "creating separate /home". http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/separatehome
replace /home directory want. note it's one-to-one relationship: 1 directory 1 partition.

warn you, if goes wrong, might need install ubuntu again.
