Thread: Macbook Pro 7.1 how to improve battery life/save some watts under Ubuntu 11.04 64bit?

hi,
read lot´s of threads how extend battery life , save watts here, every generation of macbooks pro has specifical hardware. mbp use 13-14 watts firefox, 90% display, , powertop running behind (with bluetooth , wifi). work more programs, goes 20-25 watts. so, @ end, have on macbook pro under 11.04 maybe 3-3,5 hours, under macos 5-6 hours.
so, if has idea how increase battery life, , know how explain average user - welcome!

script made thinkpads, on mbp, because before installation battery life worst, , had lot of wakeups (now in idling have 180-190 wakeups, still high number?).

i think fuduntu 1 of, if not best distro around saving power. if power management priority may worth having @ fuduntu.

new release came out inside of last week well.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
