i'm new ubuntu, , i've been trying shockwave running on firefox using instructions here:

however, when try open firefox wine, message.

"the file '/home/downloads/firefox setup 5.0.exe' not marked executable. if downloaded or copied untrusted source, may dangerous run. more details, read executable bit."

looked this, don't understand i'm doing enough assign file permission program. can me out here?

i hope didn't introduce typos.

can gui way. locate file file manager, right click on properties, select permissions tab. should able toggle on "execute" property there.
