Thread: Screen Flicker on Samsung Syncmaster @ 1920, Only works on lower resolution

i'm running ubuntu 11.04 , purchased samsung syncmaster b2430.

if try run screen resolution @ 1920, bad intermittent flickering in general use , becomes unusable when viewing video

if run @ 1240 - fine ... that's not why bought 24" monitor.

when run lspci -v video controller.

00:0d.0 vga compatible controller: nvidia corporation c61 [geforce 7025 / nforce 630a] (rev a2) (prog-if 00 [vga controller])

expansion rom @ fbfc0000 [disabled] [size=128k]

have suggestions resolving this?

an update above. colleague, running identical hardware/operating system can use same monitor without issues ... refresh rate of 50hz.

don't seem able change refresh 60hz 50hz on preferences>monitors.

there way this?
