Thread: Ubuntu 10.04 running in low res mode. Failed to load nvidia kernel module. Error

i updated the ubuntu 10.04 included system updates linux header or kernel new 1 released few days ago. downloaded updated @ night , amused installed automatically , went bed. , gave schedule sudo command shut down pc @ 6:00am in morning.the time 3:20am. remaining time upadtes 1 hr. in morning when turned on pc gave me error
"ubuntu running in low res mode"
"failed load nvidia kernel module"
"screen(s) found not configured"
using mx440 drivers version legacy 93
can doesnot boot or cant go recovery mode. when go recovery mode nothing happens give me lines of bla bla , nothing lil thing blinks forever. idea how can recover that. thanks. sorry long artical.

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
